Episode 10: The VA Fire Marshals Academy - History and Origins

Published on: 19th April, 2021

Every fire marshal in Virginia has to attend at least some parts of the Department of Fire Programs - VA Fire Marshals Academy. The groundwork for the programs and classes that are graduating today was built by Russ Chandler - long time fire service professional and first Director of the VFMA.

In this episode, Weet and I get to hear some of the stories associated not only with starting an Fire Marshals Academy, but also hear about the origins of Hanover's Fire Marshals Office - with some lions and tigers thrown in as well.
